MORRIS, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Morris is pleased to announce the hiring of Mike Cooling as its new Director of Athletic Communication. Cooling will officially join the athletic staff for the Fall 2025 season, and will oversee statistics, media releases, website updates, and social media for the Cougars. 

Cooling brings a strong knowledge of Division III and the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference with him to Minnesota Morris, having previously served as the Sports Information Director at Northland College. His background of digital media, sports statistics, and content creation will allow Cooling to have an immediate impact within the Cougars' athletic department. 

Before Northland, the 2022 graduate of Bemidji State University spent two years as a student working for North Iowa Area Community College before spending two years at Bemidji as an Athletic Media Relations assistant.
