BECKER, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris men's golf team placed fifth at the UMAC Preview, held at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, Minn. For the third consecutive tournament,
Mathias Warrington led the Cougars, finishing 13th overall.
The University of Wisconsin-Superior and the University of Northwestern tied for the team title at 12-over-par. The individual leaderboard also ended in a tie after 18 holes, leading to a playoff. Jakob Swanson emerged victorious in the playoff to claim the individual title.
The Cougars finished fifth out of seven teams with a combined score of +32. Warrington paced Minnesota Morris with a 77 (+5). Notably,
Aaron Nack recorded an eagle on the fifth hole.
Minnesota Morris also had five golfers competing as individuals.
Alexander Munson led that group with a round of 84 (+12).
