Cross Country returns to action at the St. Olaf Invite

MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris cross country teams will compete in their third meet of the season at the St. Olaf Invite on Saturday in Northfield, Minn.

The men's race is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start, with the women's race to follow at 11 a.m. The men will run their first 8K of the season, while the women will compete in a 6K.
 
The last meet the Cougars competed in was the Dragon Twilight Invitational on September 5. All Cougar runners achieved new personal bests. The women ran a 5K and the men ran a 6K. Sylvia Pesch led the women with a time of 20:13.6, finishing 36th, while Noah Johnson paced the men with a time of 20:17.5, placing 58th.
 
At last year's St. Olaf Invite, the women's team finished 19th and the men came in 21st. Pesch recorded the fastest time for the Cougar women at 26:15.4, while Johnson led the men with a time of 30:56.9.
 
This year, the women's team will include Pesch, Lindsey Hause, Ava Miller, Hannah Robertson, and Abhi Seelam. The men's team will consist of Johnson, Connor Bickford, Reese Bickford, Daniel Decory, Tyler Franke, Ethan Koehler, and Ethan Lauritsen.
