MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris men's and women's golf teams will compete in two tournaments this weekend, beginning with the Bethany Lutheran College Invite in Hutchinson, Minn., on Friday, followed by the Martin Luther College Invitational in Buffalo Lake, Minn., on Saturday.

The Cougars last competed on Sept. 16 at the Knights Fall Invite, where both the men's and women's teams placed third.
Mathias Warrington led the men, carding a 79 (+7) to finish fourth overall, while
Bailey Broich paced the women with a fifth-place finish at 97 (+25).

The BLC Invite will be held at Crow River Golf Club, and the MLC Invitational will take place at Oakdale Golf Course. The Cougars participated in both events last season.

At last year's BLC Invite, the women's team finished fourth out of six teams. This year's roster looks a bit different, with only
Kaylie Schmitz and
Sonja Habedank having previously played the course. Joining them will be
Bailey Broich and
Gianna Klarenbeek. The team also placed fourth at last season's MLC Invitational.

On the men's side, the Cougars finished third out of seven teams at the 2024 BLC Invite and fourth at the MLC Invitational.
Aaron Nack had a standout performance at the BLC Invite, winning the tournament by three strokes. At the MLC Invitational, Warrington led the team with a fifth-place finish.

This weekend, the men's team will feature 10 golfers. Warrington, Nack,
Peyton Mithun,
Jacob Steinmetz,
Gabe Long,
Gaven Brown,
LeRoy Staples-Fairbanks IV,
Evan Barnett, and
Brock Beckler will compete in both events.
Alexander Munson will join the lineup at the BLC Invite, while
Jack Mahoney will play in the MLC Invitational.
