HUTCHINSON, Minn.–The University of Minnesota Morris men's golf team competed at the Bethany Lutheran College Invite on Friday, placing fifth overall in Hutchinson, Minn.
Mathias Warrington led the Cougars with a score of 76 (+5), finishing tied for 12th.
The University of Northwestern took first place with a team score of one over par. Jakob Swanson and Shane Seiffert, both from UNW, tied for the individual title with scores of four under par.
Minnesota Morris's B team finished sixth overall, while the top team placed fifth out of six when only primary team scores were considered. Warrington continues to pace the Cougars, securing a 12th-place individual finish.
A highlight of the day came on hole 16, where
LeRoy Staples-Fairbanks IV recorded a hole-in-one.
