MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris cross country teams will travel to Moorhead, Minn., to compete at the Dragon Twilight Invitational on Friday night, hosted by Minnesota State University Moorhead.

The women's race will begin at 8:10 p.m., followed by the men's race at 8:40 p.m. Both races will take place at the SCHEELS Field at Nemzek Stadium, with the women running a 5k and the men a 6k.

Last week, the Cougars opened their season at the John Kurtt Invite in Waverly, Iowa. Both the men's and women's teams finished fourth overall.
Noah Johnson led the men with a time of 22:23.6, setting a personal record for the 6k.
Sylvia Pesch paced the women with a personal best of 20:47.9 in the 5k. Her performance earned her Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career.

The women's team will have their full squad of six runners competing at the Dragon Twilight.
Lilly Ronholdt will make her season debut, joining Pesch,
Lindsey Hause,
Ava Miller,
Hannah Robertson, and
Abhi Seelam, who will each be running their second 5k of the season.

The men will compete with seven runners in Moorhead.
Ethan Lauritsen will make his 2025 season debut, alongside Johnson,
Connor Bickford,
Reese Bickford,
Daniel Decory,
Tyler Franke, and
Ethan Koehler.
