MOORHEAD, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris Men's and Women's Cross Country teams all ran personal bests at the Dragon Twilight Invitational. The Women's team ran a 5k and place sixth and the men ran a 6k finishing in seventh Friday night in Moorhead, Minn.
"I could not be more excited about today's outcomes-the energy on the start line was high and our performances reflected that," said head coach
Caroline Collet. "I'm so proud of the team for carrying the momentum from last week forward."
The women ran first with the University of North Dakota winning the meet with their top five finishers taking the top five slots. Jadyn Keeler won the meet with a time of 16:05.8 for the 5k. Minnesota Morris finished sixth with
Sylvia Pesch pacing the team. The reigning UMAC Athlete of the Week set a new personal best at 20:13.6.
North Dakota also took first on the men's side with its top finishers taking slots two through six. Jared Gregoire of Minnesota State University Moorhead won the 6k race with a time of 16:45.0. The Cougars placed seventh in their second meet of the season.
Noah Johnson led the team with time of 20:17.5 setting a new personal best.
All 12 Cougar runners set a new personal best.
