Cougar Golf travels to Wisconsin for two-day event

MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris golf teams are headed to Superior, Wis., for the Twin Ports Collegiate, hosted by the University of Wisconsin–Superior. The event will span two days at the Nemadji Golf Course.

The tournament will kick off on Saturday with a 9:35 a.m. tee time. Sunday will feature a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.
 
Earlier this week, the Cougars competed at the UNW Invite. The men's team was led by Mathias Warrington, who tied for 17th after carding a 77 (+5). On the women's side, Bailey Broich led the way with a 96 (+24), tying for 23rd. As a team, the men finished tied for sixth, while the women placed seventh.
 
The women's team will have five golfers competing at the Twin Ports Collegiate. Broich and Fiona Jiang will be playing in their second tournament of the season, while Kaylie Schmitz, Sonja Habedank, and Kiri Hill will make their season debuts.
 
The men's team will feature five golfers this weekend: Warrington, Aaron Nack, Peyton Mithun, Jacob Steinmetz, and LeRoy Staples-Fairbanks IV. All five competed at the UNW Invite.
