MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's basketball team will be on the road at Crown College on Wednesday before hosting the University of Wisconsin-Superior on Saturday in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play. The Cougars and Polars will tip off at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while UMM and UWS are scheduled for a 3 p.m. start on Saturday.

The Cougars played a pair of UMAC games last week, beginning with the UMAC Game of the Week against North Central University. The game was tied 70–70 after four quarters, but the Cougars ultimately fell 88–82 in overtime.
Claire Stark led the scoring with 20 points, and
Grace Perry recorded her first collegiate double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. In the following game, Minnesota Morris defeated the University of Northwestern to move to 2–1 in conference play.
Maddy Grove scored a game-high 21 points, while Perry recorded her second double-double in as many games with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Following her performances, Perry was named UMAC Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career.

Grove ranks second in the conference, averaging 18.3 points per game, and has recorded seven games with 20 or more points this season.
Shelby Mortenson follows with 139 total points (8.7 ppg), and
Gianna Klarenbeek rounds out the top three with 132 points while averaging 8.3 points per game. Stark,
Anna Myers, and Perry have all totaled over 100 points this season. Klarenbeek also leads the team with 51 assists.

Last week, Mortenson surpassed 100 rebounds, now totaling 104, with Perry following at 80. The Cougars rank first in the conference in rebounding, averaging 38.7 per game. Minnesota Morris also leads the UMAC in blocked shots at 3.13 per game, with Mortenson and Stark leading the team with 14 and 11 blocks, respectively. The Cougars are second in the conference in steals, with Grove ranking third individually with 44.

Crown enters the week with a 3–13 overall record and is 0–3 in conference play, riding a six-game losing streak. Last week, the Polars fell 62–30 to Bethany Lutheran College and 59–49 to North Central. David Pederson is in his second season as head coach at Crown. Offensively, Brayli Reimer leads the Polars with 186 points, averaging 15.5 per game, while Morgan Bednarek leads the team defensively with 118 rebounds.

UW–Superior enters the week with a 5–11 overall record and is 2–1 in UMAC action. Last week, the Yellowjackets went 1–1, falling to Bethany Lutheran College 68–59 before defeating Martin Luther College 59–46. Head coach Eveline Parsons is in her first season with the program. The Yellowjackets have multiple players with over 100 points this season, led by Megan Schafer with 139, while Charlotte Ferstl leads the team with 110 rebounds.
