ST. PAUL, Minn. – Carvin Fish of the University of Minnesota Morris men's basketball team was named Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Athlete of the Week for the period of Jan. 19–25, as announced Tuesday, Jan. 27.
 
This marks the third time this season that Fish has been named UMAC Athlete of the Week. In the UMAC Game of the Week, Fish led all scorers with 28 points to guide the Cougars to a 90–75 win at Crown College. He finished the game shooting 12-for-18 from the field, including one three-pointer, and went 3-for-4 from the free-throw line.
 
In the following game, the sophomore forward scored 27 points in an 80–78 win against the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Fish ended the week with 55 points, 18 rebounds, five blocks, and three assists.
 
The men's basketball team returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Bethany Lutheran College at 7:15 p.m.
