NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Four members of the University of Minnesota Morris women's track & field team made their way into the program's record book, cracking the top 10 at the St. Olaf Invitational.
Amaya Willis achieved the mark in the weight throw, while
Lindsey Hause,
April Knight, and
Sydney Roy did so in the 300-meter dash.

DAY 1
Â
On the first day of the meet,
Ava Miller led Minnesota Morris in the 5,000-meter run. In the field events,
Amaya Willis recorded the sixth-best throw in program history in the weight throw, finishing sixth overall with a distance of 14.78 meters.

Mary Watry kicked off the second day by qualifying for the finals of the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.60, then ran a 10.59 in the final to place seventh. In the 300-meter dash,
Lindsey Hause placed fifth with a time of 48.93, earning the sixth-best time in program history.
April Knight and
Sydney Roy also cracked the top 10 after finishing sixth and seventh, respectively.

In the field events, Hause tied for eighth place in the high jump. In the shot put,
Samantha Dotzenrod recorded a season-best mark of 10.31 meters, finishing 15th.

The Cougars will compete in one of their biggest meets next week as they travel to the Gopher Classic on Saturday.
