Carvin Fish led the scoring across both games with 53 points, while Kaden Pieper added 41. In the win over Trinity Bible, Gustav Gunderson recorded a double-double with 11 assists and 10 rebounds.

Fish and Matt Thompson have led the Cougars offensively this season, totaling 206 and 195 points, respectively. The duo ranks third and fifth in the conference in scoring. Pieper rounds out the top three scorers for UMM with 166 points, while Gunderson ranks second in the UMAC with 49 assists.

Defensively, Thompson leads the team with 88 rebounds, followed by Pieper with 77 and Fish with 73. Fish also has a team-high 32 offensive rebounds and ranks third in the conference with 10 blocks.

Martin Luther enters conference play with a 6-7 record. In its last game, the Knights defeated Carleton College 104-97. Head coach Greg Holzheter is in his 10th season leading the program. Adam Loberger leads the team—and the conference—in scoring with 299 points and also paces the Knights with 98 rebounds.

This marks the second meeting between the two teams this season. Earlier in the year, the Cougars rallied for an 88-81 victory. Fish scored a career-high 32 points in the win, shooting 11-of-13 from the field, 2-of-2 from three-point range, and 8-of-9 from the free-throw line.
