MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris men's and women's swimming and diving teams begin postseason competition as they take part in the four-day Liberal Arts Championships starting Wednesday in Mount Pleasant, Wis.

The Cougars last competed on Jan. 23 when they hosted Iowa Lakes Community College. The women earned a 117–22 victory, while the men won 117–60 to close out the regular season.

On the women's side, Minnesota Morris claimed victories in 11 of the 12 events. Individual event winners included
McKenna Falak,
Shannon Dougherty,
Kennedy Olson,
Sam Haaf,
Rylie Wendt, and
Brynna York in diving. The relay team of
Rhio Fay,
Kaitlyn Mello,
Haidyn Friborg, and
Eve Zimmerman took first in the 200-yard medley relay, while Fay, Falak,
Faith Hamm, and Dougherty won the 400-yard freestyle relay.

The men also found success, beginning with a win in the 200-yard medley relay by the team of
Austin Dunn,
Sam Oster,
Ethan Bad Heart Bull, and
Dillon Thorstad. In diving,
Riley McKenzie won the one-meter dive, and
Carson Jensen placed first in the three-meter dive. Dunn set a new program record in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.92. The meet concluded with another first-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay by
Ben Caron, Thorstad, Dunn, and
John Gulon.

Last season at the LACs, the women's team placed third overall, while the men finished fifth.
