COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's track & field team recorded four personal bests at the CSB+SJU Valentine's Day Open on Saturday in Collegeville, Minn.
On the track,
Sylvia Pesch finished fifth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 19:57.01. The first PR of the day was set by
Lilly Ronholdt in the 60-meter hurdles, where she finished 16th.
April Knight followed with a personal best in the 60 meters.
Lindsey Hause recorded the final personal best on the track in the 600 meters.
In the field events,
Kylie Elmes led the Cougars with a season-best throw of 10.68 meters to place 11th.
Payton Stangl finished 13th with a new personal record of 10.50 meters.
Amaya Willis had another strong showing in the weight throw, placing third with a distance of 14.72 meters, finishing behind only Division II athletes.
Siri Overturf landed in the top 10, placing eighth with a throw of 13.27 meters.
The Cougars will compete again on Friday as they travel to the Maverick Open in Mankato, Minn.
