RACINE, Wis. – The University of Minnesota Morris men's swim and dive team finished third at the Liberal Arts Championships in Racine, Wis.
The Cougars began the final day of competition by setting a new program record in the 1,650-yard freestyle.
Ethan Bad Heart Bull placed fifth with a time of 18:17.46, while
Mark Meece and
Elijah Slinden followed in sixth and seventh, respectively. In the backstroke,
Austin Dunn led UMM with a fourth-place finish.
John Gulon took sixth in the 100-yard freestyle, and Bad Heart Bull added a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly each setting new programs records.
Sam Oster also etched his name in the record book in the 200-yard breaststroke. In diving,
Carson Jensen placed third with a score of 300.95.
To close out the meet, the team of
Ben Caron,
Dillon Thorstad, Dunn, and Gulon set a new program record in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:10.85.
