MANKATO, Minn. – Mary Watry of the University of Minnesota Morris women's track & field team landed in the record book in two events at the Maverick Open on Friday in Mankato, Minn.

Watry opened the meet in the 60-meter hurdles, recording a time of 10.22 seconds, the seventh-fastest time in program history.
Sylvia Pesch set a personal best in the mile, placing 15th with a time of 5:46.7.

In the field events, Watry posted the seventh-best mark in program history in the triple jump at 10.11 meters to place 10th.
Lindsey Hause placed sixth in the high jump at 1.44 meters. In the throwing events,
Kat Placido led UMM in the weight throw, and
Kylie Elmes paced the Cougars in the shot put.

The Cougars will compete next on Feb. 27 at the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Championship in Superior, Wis.
