MORRIS, Minn. – Maddy Grove of the University of Minnesota Morris women's basketball team was selected to the d3hoops.com Region IX All-Region Second Team, announced March 16.
 
Over the last two seasons, Grove had been selected to the All-Region Third Team.
 
Grove led the Cougars during the 2025–26 campaign, totaling 485 points, the third most in a single season at Minnesota Morris. The Morris native averaged 18.7 points per game to help earn her back-to-back Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors.
 
Seven games into her junior season, Grove reached 1,000 career points in only 58 games played.
 
Grove also played a huge role defensively, being named to the UMAC All-Defensive Team. The junior guard led the conference in steals with 65. She also tallied 92 rebounds and 13 blocks on the season.
 
The award adds to Grove's growing list of recognitions: two-time UMAC Player of the Year, two-time All-Region Third Team selection, three-time UMAC All-Conference First Team selection, eight-time UMAC Player of the Week, UMAC Freshman of the Year, d3hoops.com Region 9 Rookie of the Year, CSC Academic All-District, and two-time UMAC Academic All-Conference honoree.
