MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's tennis team will begin Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play on Saturday as they travel to Waconia, Minn., to take on Crown College.
The Cougars last competed on March 12, when they finished their fifth match of the week in Florida. During that stretch,
Jhazlyn Wynne and Kristen Müller won a doubles set together against Piedmont University. This season, Wynne and
Mariah Mireles have each earned UMAC Player of the Week honors. Leading the team in match wins are
Katharine Kelm, Mireles, Müller, and Wynne.
Crown enters conference play with a record of 0-5. The Polars last competed on Feb. 20, when they were defeated 6-1 by Saint Mary's University. Keegan Blancke is in his second season as the head coach at Crown. In the UMAC Preseason Coaches Poll, Crown was selected sixth in the North Division. Maya Wuotila remains undefeated this season with a 5-0 record.
