Carvin Fish, Kaden Pieper and Matt Thompson Named to UMAC All-Conference Teams

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Carvin Fish, Kaden Pieper and Matt Thompson of the University of Minnesota Morris men's basketball team were named to the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) All-Conference Teams, as announced Wednesday, March 4.
 
This is Fish's first time earning All-Conference honors, as he was selected to the UMAC All-Conference First Team. The sophomore forward led the Cougars with 565 points and ranked second in conference scoring with 22.8 points per game. Fish also had the third-best shooting percentage in the conference at .561 from the field. The Sisseton, S.D., native ranked fourth in rebounds per game and second in blocked shots. Fish was named UMAC Player of the Week three times this season.
 
In his first season with the Cougars, Pieper earned UMAC All-Conference First Team honors. The junior guard was second on the team with 477 points and tied for third in the conference, averaging 20.7 points per game. On Jan. 7, Pieper recorded the second-highest scoring game in program history, pouring in 45 points in a win. He also ranked seventh in the conference in rebounding at 7.0 per game and eighth in steals. Pieper was named UMAC Player of the Week once this season.
 
Thompson also earned All-Conference honors in his first season with UMM, being named UMAC All-Conference Honorable Mention. He finished third on the team in scoring with 358 points and averaged 11.4 points per game in conference play. Thompson ranked ninth in the conference with 6.8 rebounds per game and totaled eight double-doubles this season. The Cyrus, Minn., native, was also named UMAC Player of the Week once this season.
 
Gustav Gunderson was named to the UMAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
