ST. PAUL, Minn. – Amaya Willis,
Kat Placido and
Sylvia Pesch of the University of Minnesota Morris women's track and field team were named to the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) All-Conference Teams, as announced Wednesday, March 4.

Willis won the weight throw to earn UMAC All-Conference honors for the second straight season. Her throw of 14.40 meters was the best in the conference by .73 meters. Willis was named UMAC Athlete of the Week three times this season.

Placido also earned UMAC All-Conference honors in the weight throw with a third-place finish. This is her first All-Conference honor of her career. Placido recorded a throw of 13.50 meters to set a new personal record and finished just .17 meters shy of second place.

Pesch earned UMAC All-Conference honors in both the 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters with two third-place finishes. In the 3K, she ran a personal record of 11:07.06, the eighth-fastest time in program history, and followed with a time of 19:42.64 in the 5K. This is Pesch's first time earning All-Conference honors in indoor track.
