COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's track & field team finished eighth at the CSB/SJU Invite on Thursday in Collegeville, Minn.
Minnesota Morris opened the meet with a fifth-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay, featuring
April Knight,
Eve Zimmerman,
Brynna York, and
Nibras Luqman.
Ava Miller led UMM in the 1,500 meters. Luqman placed 18th in the 100 meters, running a season-best time of 13.47.
Sylvia Pesch scored the final points for the Cougars in the track events, finishing third in the 5,000 meters.
In the field events,
Samantha Dotzenrod recorded a team-leading throw in the javelin, placing 13th.
Jordan Ohman placed 14th in the shot put, setting a new personal record of 11.27 meters.
Lindsey Hause finished 14th in the high jump at 1.38 meters. Ohman also led the Cougars in the hammer throw, placing 13th with a new personal record of 41.30 meters. She scored in the discus with a fourth-place finish, throwing 37.56 meters.
Mary Watry added points in the final event with an eighth-place finish in the triple jump.
The Cougars will compete in their final meet before the conference championships on April 25 at the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational in St. Paul, Minn.
