EUA CLAIRE, Wis. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's tennis team fell to the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, 7-0, before competing in an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference match against the University of Wisconsin–Superior, also falling 7-0, Sunday in Eau Claire, Wis.
In the opening match,
Katharine Kelm was the only Cougar to win a game against UW–Eau Claire. Playing at No. 4, she took a game in the opening set.
In the second match, Kelm again led the team, narrowly falling in the third set. She lost the first set 6-2, then came back to win the second set 7-5 in a tiebreaker before falling 10-2 in the final set.
Avery Davis won three games against UWS in the No. 5 position.
Kristen Müller,
Jhazlyn Wynne, and
Mariah Mireles each won a game.
The Cougars conclude the season on April 24 as they travel to Martin Luther College for a 3 p.m. match.
