MANKATO, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's track & field team completed a midweek meet at the Stomper Open in Mankato, Minn.
The Cougars started the meet with
Mary Watry finishing 17th in the 100-meter hurdles, with
Lilly Ronholdt following in 19th. In the 3,000-meter steeplechase,
Lindsey Hause and
Ava Miller placed second and third, respectively.
Nibras Luqman led UMM in the 100-meter prelims.
In the field events,
Jordan Ohman led the Cougars in the shot put, finishing 12th, with
Kylie Elmes close behind in 13th. Ohman recorded another top mark for the Cougars in the discus, posting the 100th-best throw in Division III and placing ninth at 37.84 meters.
Payton Stangl and Sam Dotzenrod followed with personal bests, while Stangl also added a ninth-place finish in the javelin.
Siri Overturf led the Cougars in the hammer throw placing 14
th.
The Cougars return to Mankato for the Maverick Open on Saturday.
