NEW ORLEANS, La. – Jordan Ohman of the University of Minnesota Morris women's track and field team earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region North honors in the javelin.
Ohman became the first women's track and field athlete to earn the honor since Jenica Moes in 2022, who also received the recognition in the javelin. Her throw of 39.05 meters won the Minnesota State Open and set a new personal best. The top eight athletes in each event earn the honor, and Ohman finished eighth in the North Region.
Ohman led the Cougars all season in every throwing event during her senior campaign. She won the hammer throw and discus at the UMAC Outdoor Championship to earn UMAC Field Athlete of the Meet honors. Ohman was also named UMAC Athlete of the Week for three consecutive weeks to close out the season.
