MORRIS, Minn. – Gianna Klarenbeek of the University of Minnesota Morris women's golf team was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, announced June 16.
 
To qualify for this award, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50, and must have competed in 90 percent of games this season or started in at least 66 percent of them.
 
This is the second time this year Klarenbeek has earned CSC Academic All-District honors, with her first coming in women's basketball. She is majoring in exercise science. This season, Klarenbeek competed in seven events and nine rounds during her junior year. She averaged 119.2 strokes per 18 holes with a low round of 112. Klarenbeek recorded one top-10 finish at the Knights Classic on Sept. 16.
