MORRIS, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Morris Athletic Department is excited to announce the hiring of Liam Regan and Brady Wolkow.

Liam Regan
Liam Regan has been hired as the assistant cross country and track and field coach. Before coming to Minnesota Morris, he served as an assistant coach at the College of Wooster during the 2026 track and field season.

"I am thrilled to welcome Liam Regan to UMN Morris as our new assistant cross country and assistant track & field coach," said Athletic Director Matt Johnson. "Liam brings an exceptional blend of athletic achievement, academic excellence, and coaching experience that will continue to elevate our programs in the UMAC and regionally. As a former NCAA DIII multi‑sport collegiate athlete, Liam understands team dynamics and athlete development. His addition to the Cougar cross country and track and field programs is going to be felt immediately."

Regan was a dual-sport student-athlete while attending the College of Wooster, competing in football and track and field. He was a key member of the relay teams, helping nine relay teams score at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships. Regan competed as a defensive back for the Fighting Scots. During his junior season, he forced a fumble and returned it 37 yards for a touchdown. Regan graduated cum laude with bachelor's degrees in mathematics and education.

"I am super excited for the opportunity to lead the sprints at Morris," said Regan. "I look forward to learning from Coach Campbell, Coach Collet-Cruise, Coach Witbrod, and everyone else in the athletic department."

Brady Wolkow
Brady Wolkow has been named the new assistant swim and dive coach. For the last six years, Wolkow has served as an assistant coach for the Red Dragon Swim Club. During his time with the club, he coached swimmers ages 12 to 23 in a competitive swimming environment. Wolkow also served as an assistant coach for the Horace High School girls' swim team.

"I am excited to welcome Brady Wolkow as our new assistant swim & dive coach," stated Johnson. "Brady brings a strong coaching background to UMN Morris, along with a passion for developing athletes at every level. His work with youth, high school, and adult swimmers, along with his background as a four‑time Minnesota State Meet qualifier and collegiate athlete himself gives him great understanding of what it takes to succeed in the pool. I can't wait to see Brady's impact on Cougar Swimming & Diving."

Wolkow swam collegiately at St. Cloud State University for two years. In his final season, he helped SCSU place fourth at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships as part of a fourth-place 400 freestyle relay team. Wolkow graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

"The team and I am very excited to be welcoming Brady to the Cougar Swimming and Diving family," said head swim and dive coach Dave Molesworth. "He has been working with swimmers of all ages and working with coaches that have been great for his development for the past several years and his knowledge and excitement about college swimming and diving will be a great asset to our program."
