MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris men's cross country team was selected sixth in the 2026 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Coaches Poll, announced Friday.
"I'm looking forward to an awesome season," said head coach Caroline Collet-Cruise. "We have a great group of returners and a great group of incoming runners. I know the team is going to have a lot of fun challenging each other to become better runners, and they're going to accomplish a lot of goals together. I'm very excited to be hosting a home meet this year--come support the Cougar runners out at the Pomme de Terre Golf Club on Friday, Sept 11th!"
Noah Johnson led the Cougars during the 2025 season and returns for his senior season. Last year at the UMAC Championship, Minnesota Morris finished sixth, with Johnson earning All-Conference honors after placing 16th. The Cougars return six student-athletes from the 2025 season.
Minnesota Morris begins its season on Sept. 4 at the Dragon Twilight Invitational in Moorhead, Minn.
