ST. MICHAEL, Minn. –The University of Minnesota Morris men's golf team tied for fifth in its first tournament of the 2026-27 season at the Northwestern Invite Tuesday in St. Michael, Minn.
Bethany Lutheran College won the event at eight over par. The Cougars tied for fifth after finishing 19 over par. Blu Anderson won the individual title after a four-way tie following 18 holes.
Paxton Sivonen led the Cougars, shooting four over par. Kaden Burshiem, Jack Boos, Alexander Munson, and Peyton Mithun all finished one stroke behind. Mithun recorded an eagle on Hole 14.
Minnesota Morris had another five golfers compete, with Gaven Brown leading the second team at eight over par.
