BECKER, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris men's golf team placed third at the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Preview on Thursday at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, Minn. Kaden Burshiem placed second individually.
 
After 18 holes, Burshiem was tied for first with two other golfers, forcing a playoff. Burshiem ultimately finished tied for second. Bethany Lutheran College won the team title after shooting 10-over par. The Cougars finished third, eight strokes behind the Vikings.
 
Burshiem finished even through 18 holes with a score of 72. He recorded a par on 16 holes, along with one birdie and one bogey. Also scoring for the Cougars were Paxton Sivonen, Jack Boos and Peyton Mithun. Boos tallied a team-high four birdies.
