St. Paul, Minn. – The Minnesota Morris women's soccer team matched up with an offensive minded Hamline squad on Sept. 3, falling 4-0 on the road.

The Cougars fall to 1-1 on the year, posting their first loss after their season-opening 2-0 win over North Central on Sept. 2.

Hamlin scored twice in each half, with the first two goals coming just four minutes apart in the first, at 24:35 and 28:45. Then in the second, they put in their third of the day at 65:47, with the final score coming in the game's final 10 minutes at 83:04.

The Cougars were only able to manage four shots in the match, while the Pipers had the offense in overdrive, totaling 23 in the game, including nine on goal. Hamline also took three corner kicks in the game, while holding Morris to none.
 
Ally Heida (Coon Rapids, Minn.) led the way with two shots, landing each on goal, while Katie Kestner (Phoenix, Ariz.)and Leah Parker (Minnetonka, Minn.) each also tallied a shot on the day. In all, 23 players saw time on the field for the Cougars.

RiAnne Metz (Bismarck, N.D.) suffers the loss in goal, playing 87:09, before giving way in the final minutes for Raquel Mazur (Griffith, Ind.) to get some game action.

The Cougars return to action on Labor Day, Sept. 5, when they continue their season opening road trip in Pella, Iowa for an 11:00 a.m. date with Central.
