After a disappointing last second loss at Presentation in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) opener on Tuesday, the Minnesota Morris men's basketball team stays on the road this weekend, playing Northwestern tonight (Jan. 13) and Crown tomorrow (Jan. 14) in search of their first conference win.
Tip-off is set for 7:30 tonight in St Paul, against an Eagle team that is 6-6 on the season, and 1-0 after their UMAC opener. Saturday, the Cougars and Storm start at 5:00 p.m., with the Storm entering the weekend 1-10 overall and 0-1 in league action.
The Cougars enter the weekend at 2-8 overall after a tough non-conference season, which included six games against NAIA competition. In beginning UMAC action on Jan. 10, the Cougars nearly overcame a 16-point halftime deficit, before falling 55-52 in the final second.
