Late Scores Story in Tie

Box Score ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Cougars scored late but so did the Eagles as the two teams battled to a 1-1 tie in Roseville on Saturday afternoon. Minnesota Morris held the 14-4 shot advantage but it was the Eagles goalkeepers combined for four saves as well as four saves crediting the team.
 
In the 76th minute Meghan Laird scored her sixth goal of the season. Katie Kestner and Zoe Bergstrom got themselves on the score sheet picking up the assists. It was Kestner's first assist of the year and Bergstrom's 11 assist of the year. Lyssa Hester tied the match up just over six minutes later.
 
The two teams battled in to overtime, with NWC getting two shots in the first overtime and the Cougars had three in the second overtime but neither team found a way to put the ball in the back of the net.
 
Minnesota Morris will take on Bethany Lutheran on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the UMAC Semi Finals.
