Morris, Minn. - For the first time since 2005 the University of Minnesota Morris will take on the Hamline University Pipers. It is the 11th all time meeting and the sixth time the two will meet in a season opener, the first season opener against Hamline since 1995. The Cougars return a lot of their offensive starters from last season at the three skill positions; running back, wide receiver and quarterback. The top two leading tacklers also return for UMM and will be called upon to shut down the Hamline rushing attack. 

The game can be seen on line on Cougar Sports Network but fans are encouraged to come out to Big Cat Stadium for Cougar Fest. All fans will get in free at the gate so wear your Cougar gear and pack the Big Cat Stadium for the 2012 season opener.
