Hamline Blanks Cougars in Opener

Box Score Morris, Minn. - The women's soccer team started their season off today, losing to Hamline 3-0. The Pipers would score all three of their goals in the first half. The first two goals were score within seven minutes of each other breaking the game open; the final goal would come in the 40^th minute. BOX SCORE

The Pipers got their first goal in the 22^nd minute, when Aileen Scheibner would score her first of two goals of the day. Just seven minutes later Scheibner would assist teammate Aubrey Stenson for the next goal, putting the match at 2-0 in favor of the Pipers. Then in the 40^th minutes Scheibner would score her second and last goal of the day giving Hamline a 3-0 lead, which would turn out to be the final.

Rikki Beaver ended the day with five saves. The Cougars were also out shot 17 to 3 on the day. The Cougars will now head to Augsburg on Monday providing them a chance to get their first win of the season.
