Cougars Continue Shutout Streak

Berns scored the only goal on the day.
Box Score Morris, Minn. - It was a cold day on Cougar Field as the University of Minnesota Morris women's soccer team defeated the Knights of Martin Luther 1-0. It was a hard fought game between the two teams as the lone goal came from Rachael Berns.

The goal came at the 19th minute as Rachael Berns gets her seventh goal of the year. Berns is third on the team in goals scored. The goal came off of a corner kick by Ally Heida as Carly Denler gathered and assisted the ball to Berns. This is Denler's third assist on the year which is tied for fourth on the team.

The goalkeeper, Morgan Delaney, got her seventh start on the year. She had 4 saves this afternoon and now has 28 saves this season. This was her third shutout and moved her record to 3-3.

This is the eighth straight shutout for the Cougars as they continue to ride their 8-game win streak. They have outscored their opponents 37-0 in that span.
