Box Score ASHLAND, Wis. – Minnesota Morris (10-5, 9-3 UMAC) dropped its second straight match, falling 1-0 to Northland (8-6-3, 4-6-2 UMAC) despite out shooting the LumberJills 14-4. The 71
st minute goal for Northland was the difference in the match. Two team saves helped keep Morris off the score board.
It was all UMM in the first set, out shooting Martin Luther 10-1 in the opening 45 minutes. The Cougars also had four corner kicks but could not break through the defense for a goal.
The second half was a little more even but Morris still outshot Northland 4-3. However, Northland took the lead in the 71
st minute and the Cougars could not find an equalizer, falling 1-0.
The Cougars should be able to clinch a home playoff match with a win next weekend over either North Central or Northwestern. Both matches will be at home.
