Box Score MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minnesota Morris (6-3, 5-1 UMAC) exploded for eight goals on Saturday taking down the North Central Rams (2-10, 0-6 UMAC) 8-0.
Emma LaChance had a hat trick, scoring all three goals in the first 16 minutes of action.
Ivie Brooks had her first career goal in the match.
In the third minute of play LaChance scored on a goal from
Rachael Berns. In the ninth minute LaChance struck again on a pass from
Rachael Berns.
Kebra Rogers scored her fourth goal of the season making it 3-0 in the 11
th minute as Berns picked up her third assist of the match. The hat trick became official in the 16
th minute when
Ally Heida assisted LaChance.
Madeline Youakim scored her second career goal in the 31
st minute, unassisted.
After 40 scoreless minutes
Carly Denler scored unassisted to make it 6-0. Youakim scored her second goal of the match in the 76
th minute, assisted by Brooks. Brooks scored her first career goal in the 79
th minute as Youakim earned the assist.
Minnesota Morris outshot the Rams 23-0 on the day.
Torri Jordan earned the shutout in net.
The Cougars will now take on Crown on Thursday afternoon.
