MORRIS, Minn. – The men's basketball team enters the final weekend of UMAC play in fourth place, holding a one game lead with two to play. The Cougars (12-11, 7-5 UMAC) are set to face Bethany Lutheran (10-12, 8-4 UMAC) and Martin Luther (4-19, 3-9 UMAC). The Cougars can clinch a two seed in the UMAC Tournament but will need some help.

The first objective for the Cougars is to win their next two games. If Minnesota Morris picks up wins over BLC and MLC they will guarantee themselves a spot in the four team UMAC Tournament.
On Saturday the Cougars will honor seniors
Steve Birman,
Logan Orazem and
Ben Hoidal.
The Cougars are ranked third in the nation in three point field goal shooting converting 41.8% of their three point attempts. They are 19
th in the nation in field goal shooting, hitting 48.5% from the field. The team is shooting over 50.0% from the field and behind the arc over their last three games.
Birman leads the team in scoring averaging 12.3 points per game; he is closely followed by
Brendon Foss who averages 11.3 and
RJ Dean who averages 10.3. Four other Cougars are averaging 8.0 points or more per game.
