Box Score MORRIS, Minn. – Minnesota Morris (2-2, 1-0 UMAC) evened up their season record with a 2-0 victory over Northland (4-3, 0-2 UMAC) on Friday. Carly Denler scored her second goal in four matches and Emma LaChance scored her third goal in two matches for Morris.
 
The Cougars outshot Northland 17-1 on the day but only found the net twice. It took until the 41st minute but Denler knocked the ball in after a great cross from Kelsi Kolle. The Cougars went to the break with six corner kick opportunities and seven shots.
 
In the second half the Northland keeper was again tested but UMM could not convert until late. In the 85th minute LaChance found herself wide open in the net after a cross from Kebra Rogers. She was able to push the ball past the keeper and gave Morris the 2-0 victory. Minnesota Morris would end the match with 14 corners.
 
Tomorrow St. Scholastica will come to town with the match set to start at 2:15 p.m.
