Three First Half Goals Propel UMM

Box Score NEW ULM, Minn. – The Cougars evened up their season record with a 3-0 shutout over Martin Luther on Friday evening. Three first half goals were the difference in the match as three different Morris players got on the board with a goal.
 
Carly Denler continued her great freshman campaign with a goal in the 17th minute of play. Rachael Berns made it 2-0 in the 25th minute and then Emma LaChance scored to make it 3-0 in the 35th minute. Ally Heida had the assist on the LaChance goal.
 
Morgan Delaney made six saves to earn her first cleansheet in a Cougar kit.
 
Minnesota Morris is back in action tomorrow as they take on Bethany Lutheran at 2:15 p.m. in Mankato.
