Cougars Start Five Game Homestand

MORRIS, Minn. – The Cougars (10-6, 4-1 UMAC) are riding a four game winning streak heading in to a five game home stretch. This weekend Martin Luther (4-12, 3-2 UMAC) and Bethany Lutheran (3-13, 2-3 UMAC) come to town as the Cougars look to stay atop the conference. Currently Minnesota Morris is tied with Crown and Northwestern with a 4-1 conference record. WATCH LIVE
 
Morris is second in the UMAC in scoring, averaging 73.8 points per game in conference play. Martin Luther ranks seventh and Bethany ranks sixth in scoring this season. Defensively the Cougars are second in points allowed followed closely by Martin Luther and Bethany, who rank third and fourth respectively.
 
Individually, the Cougars have five players who rank in the top twenty for scoring, which shows the balance in scoring this season. Evan Reller and Brendon Foss rank third and fifth in rebounding this season.
 
Martin Luther comes into the weekend shooting 40.2% from the field and 46-172 from three. The Knights are shooting just 63.0% from the line on 311 free throw attempts.
 
Bethany Lutheran is allowing 77.5 points per game in UMAC play which ranks fifth in the league. They rank just slightly higher than the Cougars in three points shots made this season, as both teams like to put up shots from behind the arc.
