MORRIS, Minn. – For just the second time this season the Cougars (0-5, 0-4 UMAC will play a game away from Big Cat Stadium. Minnesota Morris will battle with Northwestern (4-1, 3-1 UMAC) on Saturday at 1 p.m. in St. Paul. 
 
Series History: Morris and Northwestern will play for the 12 time in school history. Currently, the Eagles hold an 8-3 lead in the series. The Cougars last beat Northwestern in 2010 in St. Paul, by a score of 35-33.
 
Forcing Turnovers: The Cougars defensive has been the bright spot all year long. They have done a great job getting the ball back to the offense. They rank 33rd in the nation in turnovers gained and 20th in the nation in fumble recoveries.
 
Racking Up Tackles: Cody Hickman is quickly approaching the NCAA Division III record book. He is on pace to finish his career with 12.29 tackles per game, which ranks 8th all-time. He needs 21 more tackles to reach the top nine for total tackles in NCAA Division III history.
 
This season Hickman ranks 11th in the nation with 13.0 tackles per game.
 
Shutdown Corner: Chandler Erickson ranks ninth in the nation in passes defended with two per game.
 
Needing to Convert: Morris has struggled on third down this year, converting just 27% of the time.
 
They have also struggled in the red-zone scoring 42.9% of the time and have four touchdowns in 14 red-zone attempts.
 
Balanced Attack: Northwestern has 1,082 yards on the ground this season and 1,006 through the air.
 
They average 5.3 yards per rush and 9.3 yards per pass.
 
The Eagles have a pair of running backs that are each averaging over six yards per carry in 2014.
