NEW ULM, Minn. – Emma LaChance's 39^th minute goal was all the Cougars need on Saturday to defeat Martin Luther (5-7, 4-4 UMAC) 1-0. The Cougars (8-4-1, 7-0-1 UMAC) mustered 19 shots on the day, 12 in the first half and seven more in the second 45 minutes of play.
 
Molly Hancuh led the way with six shots. She and Carly Denler led the squad with four shots on goal in the match. Morgan Delaney made three saves to earn the shutout victory.
 
Denler had a shot saved off the line in the 21^st minute which kept the match scoreless. Hancuh also had a goal denied by a Knights defender, this time coming in the 66^th minute, keeping the match at the 1-0 score line.
