MORRIS, Minn. – The Cougars (10-4-1, 9-0-1 UMAC) return home with hopes of extending their shutout streak, which has reached ten straight matches. The Cougars have not conceded a goal since September 14.
This weekend, Crown (4-11-1, 2-8 UMAC) and Bethany Lutheran (6-9-1, 5-5 UMAC) will look to end the Cougars streak. Morris has steadily climbed the national rankings in shutout percentage during the last six weeks, climbing up to number 13 in the nation. The Cougars have a total of 11 shutouts this year. Minnesota Morris has not lost a match they have scored in this season
On the flipside, UMM has not scored in their four loses on the year. Meaning all 15 matches this year has included a shutout on one side of the score sheet.
Bethany Lutheran is battling for a playoff spot in the UMAC. They currently sit in fourth place, three points ahead of Northland. Just four matches remain for each team this season.
With two victories the Cougars will clinch a home playoff match on November 5.
