MORRIS, Minn. – The Minnesota Morris (12-5, 4-1 UMAC) volleyball team is home for the second straight weekend. They have a big match with St. Scholastica (8-7, 3-1 UMAC) on Friday at 5 p.m., kicking off the UMM Homecoming weekend. On Saturday they battle Northland (1-9, 0-4 UMAC) at 11 a.m. in the P.E. Center.
The Cougars are off to a great start to the season and are looking for their fifth straight UMAC win on Friday night. After Saturday's match with Northland, Morris will have played each team in the conference once, marking the halfway point in the UMAC season.
On Tuesday the Cougars will play Crown and Presentation at home, rounding out their stretch of six straight home matches. The Cougars will have just three more home matches this regular season after Tuesday's match.
Last weekend the Cougars used a full team effort to sweep both Martin Luther and Bethany Lutheran. The offense hit .258 with 91 kills. The Cougars had 16 service aces in two matches. The team averaged 2.33 blocks per set and 18.0 digs per set in two matches.
