MORRIS, Minn. – Minnesota Morris heads north in hopes of wrapping up a home match in the UMAC Tournament next week. The Cougars, who sit one game ahead of St. Scholastica, take on the Saints and Northland this Friday and Saturday.
The weekend starts with a match against St. Scholastica on Friday at 7 p.m. in Duluth. The following day they take on Northland at 1 p.m. in Ashland.
On the line is a chance to secure the two seed in the UMAC Tournament. The Cougars will take on St. Scholastica next Wednesday night regardless of this weekend's results, but the location is still to be decided.
A win over the Saints would secure the number two seed in the UMAC Tournament. A loss to the Saints by anything other than a sweep would also work for the Cougars. If the Saints can win in a sweep and beat the Cougars by more than 14 total points, they would steal the number two seed away from UMM.
