ASHLAND, Wis. – Minnesota Morris (22-11, 12-2 UMAC) swept Northland (2-21, 1-13 UMAC) swiftly on Saturday, winning by a score line of 25-17, 25-10, 25-10. The Cougars will now host St. Scholastica on Wednesday night in the P.E. Center. Frist serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
MaKenzie Schaffer led the Cougars with 11 kills and a .421 attack percentage.
Emily Auch added seven kills.
Katie Reitsma had a team high ten digs in the match.
The Cougars hit .390 as a team with just nine total errors; they had just three errors in the final two sets of the match. Defensively Morris had six blocks and held Northland to just 13 kills in the match. Serving was a big help to the Cougars in the match, combining for 11 aces. Reitsma led the team with four service aces.
Minnesota Morris finished the regular season with 22 wins; it is the third straight year with 20 wins on the season. They are one win shy of tying their win total from last season.
