MORRIS, Minn. – Minnesota Morris (23-11) will take on Northwestern (22-10) in the UMAC Championship for the second straight year. The match is again in St. Paul and will begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday night.
On the year the Cougars are 7-3 in road games, they took the Eagles to five sets down in St. Paul on September 19. In the match the Cougars had 92 digs and seven blocks to slow down the potent Eagles offense.

Abby Tietz led the offense that night, having 18 kills and 16 kills respectively.
In the second match against Northwestern, the Cougars were unable to get much going. Morris will look to reverse their trend and pick up a ticket to the NCAA Tournament.
The Cougars tied their win total from last season after a come from behind win over St. Scholastica on Wednesday night. Morris will look to use that momentum and take a step forward this weekend.
The two teams rank first and second in almost every stats category this season. The Cougars lead the league in aces per set and will need to serve tough on Saturday to get the Eagles out of system throughout the match.
