MORRIS, Minn. – As the second half of the conference season begins tomorrow evening, the men's and women's basketball sit in first place with a 6-1 record. On Tuesday, they welcome Crown College to the P.E. Center for what is the third straight home game for the Cougars.

The women's team has put together a stretch of seven wins in their last eight games, winning by a margin of nearly 18 points per game. They have outscored the opponent 324-220 in the first half during the stretch.
Kendra Wycoff and
Emily Auch are leading the team in scoring during this run. Wycoff is averaging 15.9 points per game and Auch is averaging 15.5 points per game. Currently, Auch ranks 10
th in the nation in field goal percentage, making 59.9% of her shots from the field.
Tori Holt is nearly averaging a double-double, coming off the bench in every game; she is scoring 10.5 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game.
Abby Fragodt has 99 rebounds for the Cougars in their last eight games, averaging 12.4 rebounds per game and grabbing 26 offensive rebounds. Fragodt ranks 26
th in the nation with 2.39 blocks per game this season and 59
th in rebounding with 10.3 rebounds per game.
The men's team is looking to avenge their only conference loss of the year when they take on Crown tomorrow night. In their first meeting the Storm went on a late run to dash to a 97-77 win. Since then, Minnesota Morris has not allowed an opponent to score more than 68 points in a game. The defense ranks 56
th in the nation in scoring defense through this weekend's games.
During their run the team has five players averaging over 10 points per game, led by 13.2 from
Brendon Foss.
Evan Reller is averaging 10.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. The team is shooting 42.6% from three while holding opponents to just 27.5% from three. They are outscoring opponents by nearly 15 points.
