First Half Undoes Cougars

Box Score RIVER FALLS, Wis. - A pair of goals about 14 minutes apart in the first half gave the Wisconsin River Falls Falcons (4-2) a 2-0 win over the Minnesota Morris Cougars (1-4). Morris was able to manage just four shots and two shots on goal in the match. River Falls was able to manage 19 shots including 11 on net. Torri Jordan had nine saves in the match.

Alex Swatloski scored her first goal of the match in the 17th minute putting River Falls up 1-0. She tallied her second goal in the 31st minute, doubling the Falcons lead. The Cougars had three shots in the first half but were unable to put one in the net. The River Falls defense picked up the pressure in the second half and used their depth to complete the shutout, allowing just one shot in the second half 

The Cougars now turn their sights to UMAC play as they travel to Bethany Lutheran on Friday afternoon.
